Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 975

Candace was caught off guard by the sharp tone in Amanda's voice.

"You come here before we even get a chance to deal with you?"

"Mrs. Falcone, that mess at the underground market was a misunderstanding. Please don't just take Flora's word for it, she-" "Still making excuses?" Amanda's eyes showed clear disdain. She turned to the bodyguard, "What else did she say just now?" The bodyguard relayed Candace's words, which were mostly insults aimed at Flora.

As Amanda listened, her expression grew darker. Ethan, standing beside her, also looked increasingly stern. Amanda felt the urge to slap Candace, but seeing her covered in blood, she was too disgusted to follow through and instead turned away. "Call the cops," Amanda said coldly. "Tell them there's a disturbance at the Falcone house. Lock her up for a few days to cool off."

"Mrs. Falcone!"

Candace screamed, baffled by their fierce loyalty to Flora.

Feeling unlucky, Amanda didn't look back, striding inside and leaving a command in her wake, "Keep a close eye on her until the police get here. Don't let her slip away."

Kruz rushed to catch up, "Mom! That was awesome today!"

Amanda gave him a look, "Was the whole chicken blood stunt your idea?"

"Yep!"

"Protecting your sister-in-law, that's commendable," Amanda nodded approvingly. "Tonight, we'll have someone whip up your favorite Coca-Cola chicken wings." Before Kruz could celebrate, Amanda added, "You're leaving tomorrow. It'll be your last meal here."

Kruz: " "

Did she really have to bring that up!

...

Candace stood shivering in the chilly wind, utterly confused about why the Falcone family would so staunchly defend Flora.

Wasn't it common knowledge that mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law were always at odds?

Afraid the situation might escalate and involve the police, she thought about leaving. But as soon as

Her voice, clear but chilling, cut through the air as Ethan approached, leading a massive Tibetan Mastiff.

Ethan and Kruz had different temperaments and their anger was different too.

Unlike Kruz's silent intimidation, Ethan's anger had a touch of madness to it.

With the softest voice, she spoke the harshest words.

Candace's heart raced, meeting Ethan's half-smiling eyes, and a wave of fear washed over her!

She suddenly realized coming here was a mistake!

The Falcone family was way too good to Flora, nothing like she had imagined.

"This is Hercules, borrowed from the neighbors. He's... a bit wild," Ethan grinned innocently. "Especially when he smells blood, he goes a bit berserk."

With that, she patted the Tibetan Mastiff's back.

In Candace's terrified gaze, the eager dog lunged at her!

"Ahh! Get away, get away!"

Candace shrieked, running around in a panic, but with the bodyguard blocking her, she couldn't escape.

Ethan watched calmly, "Gag her, don't let her wake Flora."

Flora was, after all, still sleeping.

The ruckus at the Falcone place wasn't small, and it caught the attention of the neighbors.

"What's going on at the Falcone's?"

Someone stepped out of their villa, curiosity piqued.

"Some woman kicked up a fuss at the Falcone's badmouthing Flora. Isn't it ridiculous? Everybody knows the Falcones treat Flora like she's precious. Picking a fight with them

"Totally nuts, and not just a little," someone else chimed in, agreeing completely.
