Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1383

They totally got Fiona wrong.

"Just clear things up, that's all," Dr. Meraz sighed with relief. Finally, this mess was sorted out.

"My apologies, young lady. We completely misunderstood you." The parents took turns apologizing to Fiona, realizing their mistake. Thinking back on their harsh assumptions about a young girl made them blush with shame.

Fiona stood there, hands in her pockets, saying nothing. She didn't care about their opinions or the gossip. But what was said, was said. Apologies or not, the words were out there. Her indifference didn't mean she had to accept their apologies. Mrs. Young looked pale and flustered. Earlier, an apology might have been okay, but now it felt like swallowing her pride was too much to ask.

"Mr. Welch, surely you haven't fallen for this girl's tricks?" Mrs. Young spat, unable to confront Mr. Welch, so she aimed her frustration at Fiona. "She caught your eye right away, Mr. Manager, which means her intentions aren't pure. And that photo, how convenient it was snapped and posted online."

She sneered, "It's all probably a setup by Fiona herself."

"Did you just crawl out of a sewer with a mouth like that?" Nash shot back, eyebrows knitted, his tone sharp.

"And who might you be?" Mrs. Young glared at him. A youngster daring to talk to his elders this way-unbelievable.

"My last name's Foster," Nash replied with a smirk. "Nash. Got a problem?"

His arrogance was palpable.

When Mrs. Young heard "Foster," her face changed dramatically. Hearing Nash's name only made her more rigid with shock. Wasn't Nash the only heir of the Woods family in Cedarvale? He was Nash!

Mrs. Young wouldn't dare challenge Mr. Welch, let alone Nash. Her lips moved, but she fell silent. Yet inside, her resentment simmered. Had Fiona, new to Cedarvale, already made so many connections?

"Are you done with the drama? This

is getting ridiculous. Fiona's our classmate; we're taking her back with us," Nash said, clearly fed up.

people like them. If Fiona weren't

"Young Master Foster, don't say I didn't warn you. The Woods family has a noble reputation and vast assets. Not everyone is worthy being your friend," Mrs. Young warned through gritted teeth. "If Mrs. Woods and your family find out, they'll surely have words with you."

Irritation flashed across Nash's handsome face. Who did she think she was, lecturing him?

He was about to reply when the secretary rushed in. "Mr. Garcia, Mr. Jackson has arrived."

Dr. Meraz shot up from his seat. Jackson?! Why was this formidable man here?

The parents, especially Mrs. Young, went pale at the mention of Jackson's name. Panic was visible.

Jackson's name carried serious weight in Cedarvale. Though he'd only been around for a few years, his decisive actions struck fear into many hearts. Busy as he was, why would he show up unexpectedly?

Mrs. Young's eyes brightened with realization. With Nash attending school here, Jackson must've come for him!
