Finding My Baby Daddy (Pandora and Benjamin)

Chapter 113

Pandora couldn't take her eyesff the optician as he looked over Micheal.

"Everything looks good, time to try the glasses," he said in an upbeat tone. "Just ease him into wearing them. To start, aim for a half hour then move up to an hour, and so on."

She nodded at him. Not that he saw her, since he was adjusting Micheal's

glasses. The glasses were a light blue and looked a little too big for his small face. They were made of rubber and had a brand hat went around his head to keep them on and in the right position.

Micheal let out a small whimper as the glasses were placed on his head. "How about Mom handing him to Dad and coming over here, so she will be in his line of sight."

Pandora let out a breath and handed Micheal to Benjamin and moved to stand in front of her boy. "Hey baby," she smiled at him, and he just gave her an 'O' face. "Can you see mommy better?" she asked and he smiled, stretching out his hands to her.

She bit her lip as her eyes went to Benjamin, who looked equally touched that he seemed to be seeing a little clearer.noveldrama

"Hi, buddy," Benjamin cooed and Micheal turned his head, looking at Benjamin before letting out his first giggle. Benjamin's smile got bigger. "Does daddy look funny?" he asked, making Micheal giggle more. "I'll take that as a yes," he said as he looked at Pandora.

The optician did a few more tests as she calmed herself, and then sent them on their way after telling them to come back in three

months for a recheck.

"Remember that I won't be home until closer to seven tonight," Benjamin mumbled as he nibbled her neck.

She frowned, hating that he had to make up the time he took off to come with her to Micheal's appointment.

"Excuse me," an angry male voice she would recognize anywhere, hissed. "This is a public place, you know," Derrik continued and both Benjamin and she pulled away and just looked at him.

"You're not allowed to be anywhere near her," Benjamin growled and moved in front of Pandora and the boys.

"I am here for an appointment. It's not my fault you're fucking her right at the front fucking door," Derrik mocked with a grin.

"Watch what you say about my wife."

"Or what? You must have forgotten that I had her first when she was fresh and unused. All you got is my trashy leftovers."

Benjamin moved to Derrik and pushed him against the wall. The large grin on Derrik's face told her that was exactly what he

wanted.

“Benjamin, just leave it-he's a prick, and not worth our time at all. Besides, why bother wasting any of our time; we'll report this encounter and he can explain it to the judge, and no matter what, he's going to be sent to prison next month, either way."

"Why would I go to prison? I didn't do anything; you were setting me up," Derrik whined like a child who had been punished unfairly.

Benjamin just glared at Derrik and moved away from him.

"Didn't think you had the balls to hit me, you spineless wimp," Derrik smirked and his eyes flashed to her and down to the boys. "They sure are ugly-like their mother. It's a shame that the fall you had didn't get rid of them, eh?" Derrik smirked but lifted his hånd toward Pandora.

Before she could even blink, Benjamin had not only blocked Derrik's hand but hit him hard on his chin. Pandora's mouth dropped open as Derrik fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Benjamin," she was able to stuer after a few minutes had passed.

"Fuck!" Benjamin yelled, dropping to his knee next to Derrik.

Pandora just stood shocked as Benjamin looked Derrik over. Then, he put Derrik in the recovery position before more medical staff arrived. When Milton and another officer arrived, Pandora began to break down. Benjamin was led away in cuffs as Derrik had demanded to press charges.

"Is he going to be okay?" she asked, looking at the cop car holding her husband. "I mean, he won't lose his medical license, right?"

"Pandora, just calm down," Milton whispered to her, looking at her in the eye. "He won't; he was protecting you. This is protocol and besides, Derrik was ordered not to be near you."

"He had an appointment here. He had every right to be here, too," Pandora whispered.

"So what if he did? When he saw you standing here, he should have walked right in, not engaged you or Benjamin in a conversation. We are pulling security tapes now to find out how it all played out. She just bobbed her head but couldn't seem to get rid of the panic.

"Come on, Pandora, let's get the boys home," Alexis spoke as she rubbed her hand down Pandora's back.

She just turned to look at her. She must have been so out of it that she never noticed that Alexis and Peter had joined them. Peter helped her into Alexis' car as she put the boys in. When they reached the house, Lana, Keira, and Sia were all there waiting.

"Come on, honey," Keira said to her as she handed Pandora a coffee.

"I didn't even know he was released from jail," she was finally able to stutter. She still felt shocked about what went down. "We just got out of Micheal's appointment, which went well. He had to be there and try to ruin it. Why couldn't he just let me have that?"

"He got out two weeks ago," Keira informed as she swallowed. "We thought he would stay away from you," she continued.

"Two weeks ago?" she asked.

"We've all been watching him, making sure he stayed away. As for the crap about the appointment," she sighed, shaking her head. Pandora frowned, looking at her.
