Chapter 737
Grace pinched her palm hard and forced herself to calm down. She could not fall, because she knew that Austin needed her.
Nelson finished treating his wound. When he returned, he happened to meet a doctor and learned that Austin had been diagnosed with leukemia.
Austin was sleeping at that moment. Nelson walked to Grace's side and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. "Don't be afraid. This illness is not incurable. Isn't your brother alive and well now?"
Grace shook her head in pain. "It's different. Carson's leukemia is chronic. It can be controlled by drugs, but Austin's is acute. A bone marrow transplant is necessary soon."
Nelson said, "As long as there's a way, it'll get better!"
Grace wiped her tears and looked up at him. "Nelson, thank you for taking care of me for the past few days. You can go back first."
Nelson was indeed busy. Since this morning, his phone had been ringing non- stop.
He said, "Alright, I'll go back first. Do you... want your mother to come over and take care of Austin?"
Grace thought of Daisy and shook her head. "I know what to do. Go back."
"Alright, I'll come over tomorrow." The door of the ward closed, and the room returned to dead silence.
Grace looked at Austin on the bed. Her eyes were closed quietly, and her skin was pale. It was so pale that there was no color in it.
Grace's eyes were so sore that she almost couldn't open them.
She closed her eyes and covered her face with her hands. Her palms were wet with tears.
On the bed, Austin slowly opened her eyes.
She looked at Grace and bit her lips hard. Her heart ached.
She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, she did not say a word.
She heard Grace sob. Her heart tightened and she subconsciously closed her eyes.
Grace opened her eyes and went to the bathroom to wash her face with cold water. When she came back, she found that Austin was already awake and looking at her. noveldrama
Grace's eyes lit up with surprise. "Austin, you're awake."
Austin looked at her swollen eyes and forced a smile. Suddenly, she lowered ers head again.
No matter what Grace said, she did not say another word. Grace had a bad feeling.
She felt that Austin's condition
seemed to be worse than yesterday. Yesterday, she still spoke to her, but this afternoon, she had not said a word.

At around five in the evening, Brian came over with a lot of snacks in his hand.
"Baby, look what Daddy bought for you!" Brian took out all the snacks
from the bag and placed a bag of potato chips in front of Austin.
Grace saw his actions and took the snacks away. She said seriously, "Austin can't
eat snacks."
Brian frowned. "What's wrong? She's just in shock. Why can't she eat snacks?"
His question made Grace's heart ache.
"She's been hospitalized for two days. Can she be discharged?" Brian asked again.
Grace suddenly turned around and took a deep breath.
"Grace, what's wrong?" Brian felt that something was wrong.
At that moment, the doctor and nurse walked in together.
The nurse pushed the cart and shouted, "Austin, it's time for an IV."
Brian's frown deepened.
He asked, "Why does she need an IV? Wasn't she simply in shock? What medicine is this?"
What do you think?
