Grace took a deep breath and said, "I'm not angry. I just don't understand your intentions."

Nelson chuckled and said, "What intentions could I have? I was surprised to see her too, but don't you find it interesting?"

Her tone turned cold. "I don't find it interesting at all. If you do, you can keep her around himself."

Nelson laughed, "You say you're not angry, but you sound like it. Rest assured, she won't do anything out of line."

"That's for the best," Grace said before hanging up the phone

Grace could see that Alicia was not to be underestimated.

Indeed, over the next few days, Alicia quickly revealed her true colors, being extremely dominant in her approach to work, as if everything had to go her way.

Grace found herself in disagreement with her more than once, and even small matters became difficult to communicate about.

After a few days, she suddenly received a call from Nelson.

"I heard from Alicia that you always reject her proposals, seems like you have issues with her?" Nelson said.

Grace retorted, "I have issues with her? Why doesn't she ask who in the entire project doesn't have issues with her?"noveldrama

Nelson furrowed his brow, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Don't be angry. How about coming out for a coffee this afternoon?"

Grace sighed. "Okay." She actually wanted to talk to him about Alicia.

At the coffee shop, Nelson ordered coffee for Grace. "You seem so worked up, have a cup of coffee to calm down."

Grace took a sip from the cup.

"Look at you, even while drinking tea, you're still frowning. Does Alicia really have that much ability?" Nelson said.

"You're exaggerating. I'm not that angry," Grace said.

Nelson chuckled. "Then what is it?

Grace furrowed her brow, finding it ridiculous. "Brian did have feelings for Louise at one point, but he also knows how Louise harmed his daughter. If seeing someone who looks like Louise could affect him,

Nelson's smile deepened. "So I still have confidence in your relationship."

"That's different." Grace looked out

the window, murmuring, "People's hearts can change at the drop of a

hat. He once liked Louise so much, but in the end, that affection s gone."

Just then, Grace suddenly heard Nelson calling out to someone outside the booth, "Hey! What a coincidence, come in and join us."

Grace furrowed her brow and looked towards the door, only to see Brian's cold expression. He stared at her, his gaze filled with icy disdain.

Grace's heart skipped a beat. She opened her mouth as if to explain instinctively, but Brian didn't give her a chance.

His gaze seemed somewhat disappointed as he glanced away, then quickly walked away.

Grace instinctively followed him outside. "Brian!"

Brian's pace was quick, but when he reached outside, he heard her voice and immediately stopped. He felt delighted and turned to look at her.

Grace suddenly felt regretful. Why did she rush out like this, making herself seem like she cared so much about him?
