Mitchell froze, his whole body tensing as he slowly looked up at Suzan.

"What happened? Is my grandson okay?" Adeline rushed over, her voice tight with worry.

Mitchell bit his lip, shaking his head helplessly. "I don't know. She said her stomach hurt, and then there was blood..."

Adeline frowned, her worry quickly turning to frustration. "It must be Suzan's carelessness. She never-"

Her words trailed off as she caught

tone grew sharp. "Did you cheat on her, and she found out? I told you, this is not the time-you need to Control yourself! Wait until after she gives birth. If anything happens now, I swear-"

"Mom," Mitchell interrupted, his voice strained. "Enough. It was me and Suzan... today."

"What?!" Adeline's eyes widened in shock, her hand shooting up as if to slap him-though she stopped herself at the last second. "Are you out of your mind? You know she's pregnant, and you still-"
