Chapter 28 My Passionate Wife
Chapter 28 My Passionate Wife
Jessica had been seriously frightened, but she slept pretty well that night. When she opened her eyes,
it was already in the morning.
Jessica stretched herself and closed her eyes. As she moved aside, she felt that the sofa was spacious
again. Lorenzo must have left.
Jessica suddenly opened her eyes. She rubbed her eyes and recalled what happened last night.
Lorenzo was with her the whole night.
She knew it was Lorenzo, although she hadn't even opened her eyes and looked at him. After all, she
was too familiar with Lorenzo's scent. She couldn't have remembered it wrong.
Moreover, no one dared to do that to her under her nose.
Jessica was getting more and more dazed. She had once planned not to get attached to Lorenzo in
this marriage.
However, they had not only kissed before, but also slept together last night.
Although nothing had happened between them, she could still feel the chemistry. After all, the night
was cold, and the sofa was tiny last night.
Jessica's pretty face blushed instantly. She patted hard on her face to keep herself awake. After getting
refreshed in the bathroom, she went to the doctor's office to ask about Rosa's situation. Before
returning home, she dropped by the monitor room and didn't feel assured until she saw Rosa's steady
heartbeat.
...
"There you are. I've been worried about you. You'll be worn out if you keep commuting from here to the
hospital every day. How about getting Rosa here? We've got plenty of rooms here, and we had our
family doctors. It will break my heart to see you bustling about every day."
Alina Jackson said with great concern when she saw Jessica walking in. She stood up and hurried over
to welcome Jessica.
"Thank you for your concern, but I'm afraid it's not a good time for Rosa to get transferred. The hospital
has better medical equipment. Lorenzo has talked to the staff there, and I have nothing to worry about
now. I just hope she could wake up early."
Jessica felt warm in her heart. Everyone in the Fletcher family, including Alina, treated him very nicely.
They had never been condescending to her, or yelled at her arrogantly.
They treated her like her mother and gave her as much care as they could.
"You're not like other people. You're my beloved granddaughter-in-law! I won't allow anyone to mistreat
you, including Lorenzo!"
Alina said with a serious face. Apparently, she liked Jessica very much.
"I totally understand. Please don't worry."
Jessica replied as she nodded, smiling from ear to ear.
"Look at what I've got for you over there!"
Alina pointed to a place nearby.
Woof, woof, woof!
Jessica looked at where Alina pointed at. It was a husky who might just have been weaned. It has
black and white fur and blue eyes. The white patterns on the forehead looked like three fires. At first
glance, Jessia knew that this dog must be the offspring of those dogs who had won championships.
"Grandma, is that your new puppy?"
The dog was so cute that Jessica felt her heart was about to melt. She loved this dog very much, which
reminded her of the one she had had. The dog died because he was too old. Thinking of that, Jessica
felt a bit sad.
"Lorenzo cares about you. He knew you'd kept a husky before, but he was gone. So he spared some
time in his busy schedule and picked a dog for you. He hopes you like it."
Alina's biggest wish was the young couple could get along with each other well. She wanted them to
have her grandchild soon.
Jessica couldn't believe that Lorenzo got this little puppy for her by himself.
She thought Lorenzo was too busy to have a leisurely mood and buy her a dog. Now she was
surprised that Lorenzo had done it and kept a secret from her perfectly.
The little husky seemed to like Jessica, too. He jumped over to her feet and wagged his tail. Then he
raised his head and seemed to be asking for a hug.
Jessica hurriedly picked the dog up. She kept him in her arms and kissed him again and again happily.
"I've got a gift, too."
Alina said and looked proud. Jessica hadn't noticed that Alina had a box in her hand which said "Tarot
Cards".
"How is this? The patterns are so beautiful, aren't they?"
"Wow, they looked special. The drawer must have been inspired by ancient stories."
Lorenzo had given Alina tarot cards as a gift, which was totally out of Jessica's expectations.
"When I was very young, I grew interested in these strange and mysterious things. I've collected plenty
of them by myself. This one is a global limited edition, and Lorenzo bought it for me as a gift."
"Does that sound weird to you? My interest in stranger things? I also admired those magicians when I
was a child."
Alina was still innocent and curious like a child. Born in a wealthy family, she didn't have many interests
in luxury products. Most of her favorites were those mysterious gadgets.
Jessica sometimes found that Alina resembled her mother very much. However, her memory of her
mother was from very long ago, and there were many things she couldn't remember.
Jessica only knew that her mother was a very gentle person. She had never seen her mother lose her
temper. The woman spoke softly to everyone, and felt as warm as a spring breeze. Thus, even their
servants liked her a lot.
Back then, Jessica could feel her father loved her mother very much. She had a very peaceful family.
However, it seemed that peace was only how it looked. Soon, a huge change took place in her family,
and everything has changed since then.
Aminah, with her two daughters, suddenly showed up in the Armstrong residence. She occupied
Jessica's mother, Erica's house.
Erica died in a very unusual way. Jessica had once had it investigated, but every time she found a clue,
it would be cut off.
Jessica's father, Kevin, was soft-hearted. He believed in Aminah's slanderous talks and drove the
young Jessica to a faraway place.
Weren't it for that Juliette needed Jessica to replace her at the wedding, Jessica was sure she wouldn't
have been back so quickly.
"You've worked hard for a whole day, just go upstairs and take a rest. You don't need to worry about the
puppy's food and toys. Lorenzo had already got them prepared."
Alina smiled. She really liked Jessica and felt sorry for the poor girl from the bottom of her heart.
...
"Now tell me, is it because Lorenzo did something wrong again?"
Alina turned over and asked the housekeeper coldly when Jessica had completely disappeared from
her sigh.
"Well... Probably yes!"
The housekeeper summoned her courage and answered.
"Lorenzo had a very high IQ, but his EQ is almost negative. I don't want to say this... But a grown man
who doesn't know how to coax his wife? That sounds like a loser to me."
Alina never showed any mercy when talking about her grandson.
If Lorenzo were standing before Alina now, she would definitely give him a good lesson.
"Well, don't worry about it."
The housekeep still didn't know what to say.
"He bustled around every day like he had lost his soul! Are we going bankrupt? No! So is it really
necessary for him to work so hard? What's the use of earning that much money? Family should always
be the priority! The thing I brought back yesterday... Put the whole bag in it!"
Alina was thrilled when she thought about what was going to happen next. Her dream was finally
coming true.
"It's a very critical thing... Are we really doing it right? I'm afraid Mr. Fletcher will get furious once he
knows it."
The housekeeper always felt bothered by Alina. This wasn't the first time the old lady decided to set her
grandson up, and obviously, she enjoyed the process.
If Lorenzo really found it out, she would definitely be the scapegoat.
"As long as I'm here, you don't need to worry about anything. Hurry up! Don't waste your time here."
Alina urged.
"Okay, I'll send someone to do it right away."
Seeing that Alina had made her decision, the housekeeper knew it would be of no use to persuading
her. The housekeeper had no choice but to tell the chef to do it.
...
Jessica went back to her room to change her clothes. She also wanted to bathe the dog.
There were all kinds of clothes in the closet, but Jessica couldn't find one she would dare to wear out.
Most of them were ultra-short suspenders, or cutout lace, or...
Jessica blushed at those PJs that she would never dare to wear, but she also found it hard for her to
wear the casual clothes she usually wore out.
She would stay at home all day today. So she could only choose a relatively normal one and put it on.
When Jessica got dressed and walked out, the little husky was waiting for her outside. He wagged his
tail and looked very cute.
"Raphael, I'll call you that from now on. How about that?"
The old dog Jessica once kept was also a husky named Raphael.
Raphael barked and seemed quite satisfied with the name.
"This bowl is for you to drink water, remember. I've put some goat milk in it for you. Do you like it?"
Jessica said as she poured a carton of goat milk which she specifically bought for the puppy. Then she
put the bowl on the ground.
Raphael seemed very happy when drinking it, which made Jessica feel better.
There was no one else in the bedroom now. Jessica lay down on the sable blanket on the floor and
played with little Raphael.
When Lorenzo came back in a hurry, he saw Jessica rolling on the floor as soon as he pushed the door NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
open.
The room was filled with the light scent of the shower gel. Jessica was lying down on the sable blanket
and playing with the puppy. She seemed to be in a very good mood.
Her hair was still wet from the shower she had just taken. The beautiful black hair was loosely
scattered around her shoulder.
Lorenzo had never brought a woman back home. Now that he suddenly had one in this house, he
suddenly had an unutterable feeling.
He couldn't say exactly how it felt, but at least it wasn't half bad.
Jessica felt someone was staring at her from behind, so she looked back to the door and saw Lorenzo
standing there, which she had expected.
"When did you come back?"
Jessica asked subconsciously.
"Is this the dress you chose to wear for me?"
Lorenzo raised his eyebrows and strode to Jessica. Then he crouched his tall body down.
"I'm not used to wearing casual clothes at home. What's wrong with this one?"
Jessica felt that Lorenzo had asked a very weird question. She stared at him, eyes full of doubts.
"I don't know since when my wife has become so passionate."
Lorenzo got up and took a mirror from a cabinet near him. Then he crouched down again and let
Jessica look at herself in it.
