Chapter 20
‘Munchausen syndrome or also known as factitious disorder, is a rare type of mental disorder in which a person fakes illness. The person may lie about symptoms, make themselves appear sick, or make themselves purposely unwell. This type of mental disorder is most often seen in young adults and is considered a type of self-harm.’ Hmm? So why are they doing that again? I thought. Then I continued reading.
‘A person with Munchausen syndrome can be very convincing, which can result in doctors providing unnecessary treatment, such as medication or surgery. A person with Munchausen syndrome doesn’t pretend to be ill for personal gain, such as prescription medications or money. Instead, the person is driven to behave the way they do for complex psychological reasons, including a strong desire for attention and sympathy. Often people with Munchausen syndrome have experienced childhood trauma.’ Trauma? I don’t think she has that. It may be because she wanted her son’s attention and she wanted her son to always be on her side, but because of trauma? I don’t think so.
So basically, she wanted Donald to always listen to her and make him have no choice but to agree with her is what I’m saying. With that thought, I closed the book I read then cleaned up the mess I made. I then hurried to get back home.
When I got home, I found Diana’s “medicine” for anxiety disorder and left it with me alone. Now that it is not an anxiety disorder, I will give you some surprises and give you anxiety disorder. I have to do this.
“I know. I can’t believe the wedding is only a week away. We can rehearse for the last time on Monday. Wait, I think I heard the sound of her car.” I’m still on the phone, and she came back so soon. I see her walking so quietly, and the ability of women in the workplace is very realistic in her, so I can’t see any anxiety disorder at all.
“Woof woof woof…” The sound of barking caught my attention when I was about to see her at the door.
“Ah… Linda, Linda… Linda! What’s going on here? Why are there dogs in the house? Ah… don’t come over.” Diana had no sooner opened the door than she was greeted into the house by the dogs I had brought back, who were very polite and barked at her. Yes, I have brought home the dogs I used to walk.
And the reason? Simple. It is because their owner asked me to walk them but I still have to do something here at the house so I brought them here. Actually, exercise is essential for all dogs. It helps keep them in shape but is really important for their mental health, too. It’s so important that all dogs get a daily walk to keep them happy and healthy.
Getting out and about keeps the dog’s brain active and is great stress relief for them. Dogs love to sniff and explore so make sure your dog has plenty of opportunity to just… well… be a dog!
Not getting enough exercise can cause health problems, such as obesity, but can also lead to behavioural problems. Bored dogs are unhappy dogs, they can show their frustration by chewing, barking a lot, toileting in the house and many more. So I had no choice but to take them with me.
And when I was taking them back, an idea popped into my head so I smirked at the thought.
“Oh, dear, I’m sorry, I have to bring them back today, they won’t hurt anyone, you don’t have to be afraid. Sit down, no more screaming, Zorro! Sit down!” Actually, I brought the dog home on purpose. At this time, I was making some ketchup in the kitchen. When I heard Diana’s voice, I came out in no hurry. I didn’t put down the ketchup spoon in my hand. When I walked to Diana, Zorro still barked at Diana. I pretended to be angry and told Zorro to shut up. I also “accidentally” threw the ketchup in my hand on Diana’s newly bought clothes. On her face, she instantly turned into a big cat.
“Oh, I just don’t want to bark at you anymore. Is this dress expensive?” I smiled at her faint anger.
“Oh, yes, it was, so are you going to clean it for me?” Diana stared at me, wiped the ketchup from her face, got up, shook the sticky ketchup from her hands, and left.
“I’m really sorry.” I made a face behind her and apologized to her. This is just the beginning, and then she will suffer enough.
“Oh, Linda, ah… take them away quickly.” She should have seen that her room was in a mess, and the screams made the birds that had landed in the trees outside the courtyard fly away. To my credit, I have already put seven or eight dogs of different sizes in her room, as long as they don’t bite, let them bite and make it.
“The prize is for you, good boy. Go, go.” I smiled downstairs as though I couldn’t hear her, and thanked Zorro and the dogs for being obedient. I gave Zorro a bite of ketchup, took him to the restaurant and rewarded him. Let her deal with the dogs in Diana’s room.

After the incident with the dog, I didn’t see Diana walk out even after I already took the dogs home. So basically, I had a peaceful rest at home, without seeing her face all afternoon.
Then I went back to the kitchen and decided to bake something. I thought for a minute and decided to make cookies, best for dessert and snacks.
So I prepared my ingredients which are all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
First, I heat the oven to 375°F. In a small bowl, I will mix flour, baking soda and salt then I let it set aside. In a large bowl, I beat softened butter and sugars with an electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with a spoon for about 1 minute or until fluffy, scraping the side of the bowl occasionally.
I then beat that in egg and vanilla until smooth. Then stir in the flour mixture just until blended. I also stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
When I am done, onto ungreased cookie sheets, I drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart. Then Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown, it will make the centers soft. Then cool for 2 minutes, remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Then I let it cool completely, about 30 minutes. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
For best results, I baked the cookies on a middle oven rack. For even baking, it’s best to bake one sheet at a time.
The best cookie sheets are shiny aluminum with a smooth surface and no sides. They reflect heat, letting cookies bake evenly and brown properly. Rimmed baking sheets are excellent for many things, but not for cookie making.
To ensure success in baking, measure ingredients accurately using the right measuring equipment for the ingredient being measured. For best results, add ingredients in the order they are called for.
