CHAPTER 63 Rumor
CHAPTER 63 Rumor
"Say it. Why don't you stop halfway?" I asked.
Gavin took a deep breath. "So... so I don't want you to be so obsessed with your child!"
I smiled and said, "What obsession? You really don't know how to use words. In fact, I have put down
the matter of children. If I have an obsession, it would be our children."
I gently caressed Gavin's hand. He was finally not as alert to me as he was just now.
After we got home, I pushed Gavin to take a bath and we returned to our sweet state. Gavin grabbed
me and said, "Take a bath together today?"
I hit him gently and said, "Together? What together! You go take a bath, and I'll go to the kitchen to see
if there is anything to cook for you."
"I'm not hungry, but I miss you very much."
What was wrong with him today? He was angry at first and then sweet. I said, "Come on, we've been
together for these days. I promised to marry you two days ago. Why do you miss me?"
"I just miss you." Gavin began to niggle. "I haven't seed you today. I can't stand missing you." Then I
couldn't refuse anymore and made love with him.
I thought today's misunderstanding would be over soon. After all, everyone knows that children have
no scruples about their words. But I didn't expect that this matter would ferment secretly and there were
rumors coming out gradually.
Heidi, who was unable to keep her mouth shut in my office quietly asked me about the relationship
between me and Mr. Eastwood of the Finance Department. I asked in confusion, "What relationship?"
"I just...want to ask if your relationship is good?
I thought for a moment and answered seriously, "It's good."
"Then... then how good was it? I heard that his son seems to like you very much."
I nodded disapprovingly. Heidi got excited immediately and ran back to her seat with a strange smile. I
wanted to ask her why, but someone came to me and I forgot about it.
When I got off work, Luke came to the company again. This time he didn't go to see his father but me
specifically.
Recalling Gavin's reaction last time, I dared not to get too close to him. He was so smart that I
wondered what amazing words he would say.
Though I wished to avoid it, I could not bear to break the child's heart. When I saw him standing alone
outside the office, looking at me through those glass eyes, I went soft-hearted as hell again.
I waved to him and said, "Luke, come here. Don't stand here anymore. Don't interfere people from
working."
When Luke heard me calling him, he jumped in happily without making any noise, and watched me
quietly. After all, It's just that he was a child with limited patience. He couldn't wait to start saying,
"Aunty Back, you should be my girlfriend. When I grow up in the future, I will not let you work hard
anymore!"
I scratched over his little nose. "Okay, I'll wait for you to grow up!"
At this time, Goran suddenly teased at the door, "You need more than ten years to grow up. If she
keeps waiting, she may starve to death one day."
Luke immediately came up and took my hand. "That's not good! How about... let Dad take care of you © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
for me first, Aunt Back?"
Well, this child came again.
Goran rushed to me and held Luke's hand. "Don't talk nonsense! Aunty Back is a self-reliant person.
You should regard her as a role model, not a wife every day!"
I whispered to Goran‘s ears, "How did you feed the boy? Why he always say something so shocking?"
"What are you two doing here?" Gavin's voice came from behind. I got up and moved away from Goran
and his son.
This time around, Gavin's reaction was not as big as it was last time. However, he said, "Hey, why is
this child here again?"
I hit him on the elbow. I didn't know if Goran had heard me, while he may not be that kind
of oversensitive person.
Gavin relaxed and said, "Well, Mr. Eastwood is not a narrow-minded person!"
I looked up at him. "Does Mr. Stone come to me? Is there anything to tell me?"
Gavin returned to its usual serious look and stood about ten centimeters in front of me, talking to me.
After that, he left immediately. I took the file and sat back in my seat. I heard the voice of my female
colleague gossiping. "Look, I said it was Goran..."
I wanted to listen again, but they just stayed away and stopped talking. I didn't want to continue to
investigate. Nothing was wrong. No matter what people said, there was no such thing.
Just like this, two days passed without danger. I still heard some guesses about Goran and me from
time to time, and even some people were personally concerned about me.
Candice sacrificed her lunch break and came to ask me about my relationship with Goran. I had no
choice but to explain helplessly. "Candice, it's okay for them to talk nonsense, but you came to ask me!
I really have nothing to do with Mr. Eastwood!"
Candice nodded and asked, "Then what's the ring on your finger? Do you have a boyfriend?"
I quickly said, "No, it's just that it looks pretty, and I'm just taking it for fun."
"You can't wear this ring casually, which will affect your love luck. No wonder everyone is talking about
your relationship with Goran."
"I really don't have any relations with him! Why are you getting more ridiculous?"
Candice quickly stopped her and said. "Okay, okay, I won't talk about it, and you don't have to care
about it either. I just heard about it and came here curiously to inquire about it. Well, okay, I'll stop
talking about it. I still have something to do when I get back!"
Watching Candice leave, I said to myself. "This Miss is really busy, but still cares about these gossips."
But I am starting to hear all the stuff Candice heard. "You are not the same as you were when you
came back from Aurora," "You even wore a ring," with a ring so simply designed, it must have been
from Mr. Eastwood," The gossip was really nonsense.
I silently roared in my heart, "I still have a big diamond ring. You guys judge people by appearance!"
I finally get off work. Today, Gavin asked me to take a taxi home for dinner. I cooked a table full of
delicate dishes. I waited for him for a long time. I didn't dare to call, so I sent a text message to remind
him.
When Gavin returned, I was lying drowsily on the sofa. As soon as he opened the door, I hurried to
take his suit jacket. Seeing that he was very tired, I said softly, "Are you tired? I'll give you some soup
first. It's warm and not too hot."
Gavin nodded and did not say anything.
I served the dishes, which were just as warm as normal, and took some rice to sit beside him and ate
bit by bit.
Gavin did not have much appetite, so I asked, "What's wrong? Is it not delicious?"
He shook his head. "No, I'm just... too tired."
"What happened again?"
