Chapter 345
Chapter 345
Luca’s POV
It was finally a Monday morning, and as usual, it was hard to get out of the bed because of Sofia who
was in it, but I ended up leaving it after kissing her head and tucking the bedsheets around her. I
worked out a little that morning and was ready to leave the house in no time.
Sofia had come awake at a certain point when I had been dressing up, and that was when I
remembered what I had been about to tell her.
When I lifted her in my arms because she always felt like it was where she belonged, with her hands
around my shoulders and her legs around my waist. I was nuzzling into her throat and breathing in her
sweet scent before starting to speak.
“Bunny?” I mused and she let out a small sound to indicate that she was listening.
“Remember when we talked about your brother?” I asked and she was pulling back to stare into my Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
face almost immediately as she nodded her head.
“Yeah, I do.” Her eyes were widened a little and it was obvious that she hadn’t expected the
conversation to be about her brother right now.
I leaned forward and pressed a kiss against the underside of her jaw at first, and then I breathed out. “I
felt how much you loved him, and how tight your bond was with him– which is why I have arranged for
him to come see you… today.”
Her eyes widened some more and her hands were clasping her mouth tight in the next moment, she
was trembling against me a little which was very obvious that she was really shocked right now, as well
as excited.
“Really?” She finally wispered, obviously still dinging it really hard to believe and I let out a low hum as I
nodded my head at her.
“Can you do that?” She whispered next and I snorted.
“I can do anything, bunny. All you have to do is to ask.” I informed her, and a fleeting moment later, a
muffled sound was slipping past her lips right as she wrapped my arms around my shoulders in a really
tight hug. Her shoulders were shaking a little just as muffled sobs kept slipping out her throat.
“Shh… bunny, don’t cry.” I paused with a small grimace. “I don’t like it when you cry.” I wrapped my
hand around her head to pull her head out of my shoulder.
She blinked wet lashes as she stared down at me, and sniffed a little, there was also a small smile on
her face. “They’re happy tears.” She argued as she sniffed once again.
“Regardless, I don’t like it when you cry.” I murmured as I kissed a trail of tears on her cheeks, which
made her smile brighten.
“Thank you so much, Luca.” She paused. “When you said you were going to make him see me, I didn’t
ever thing it could be this fast, thank you so, so much.” The sincerity was stark obvious in her voice as
she spoke.
“Of course, bunny.” I murmured as I brushed a kiss over her soft cheek.
———
Right before Luca left for work and I had given him a last hug, I had informed him that there was
something I wanted to discuss with him later that night. He had wanted to know what it was about but I
had refused to spill, because it wasn’t a topic that was discussed about briskly.
After he had left, I hastily took my bath and spent most of my morning arranging my studio. The fact
that I was going to be seeing Angelo today still felt so unreal, but I knew it was indeed happening
because Luca had sent Ethan to go bring him.
My excitement was really excited right now and I really couldn’t wait to see him. Angelo was so strong,
and like me, had had to grow up really faster than his age. I knew he was going to be worried me when
I had left with Luca on my wedding day and is most likely still worried for me till date, which is why I
really wanted to see him so I’d reassure him that I wasn’t suffering here with Luca and was instead
living like a princess.
When Ryan came around after some time, it wasn’t long before we were casually engaged in a
conversation while I worked. I liked how obvious it was between us that our relationship had become
more platonic compared to how it was before, and I wished it wasn’t so forbidden for him to form an
informal friendship with me.
When he offered to help me out, I had agreed instantly because in as much as he doesn’t talk much,
he was still a really great company, at least, compared to nothing.
When I caught him staring at me at a point, I had shook my head and laughed a little before engaging
into another long train of conversation with him. He had complimented how nice I looked and I had
thanked him instantly, returning the compliment right back without hesitation.
“What do you think about this?” I asked as I held one painting up for him to see.
“It’s really beautiful, it’s really unbelievable to see how fast you’ve gotten so good at this.” He
responded in a low voice and I felt a small color stain my cheeks at his compliment, it doesn’t matter
how much time I’ve been complimented about this, it was always going to make me shy, no matter
what.
“Thank you,” I mumbled as I turned around to hang it up. Ryan was beside me after a moment.
“Allow me…”
And he was taking the painting out of my hold and hanging it on a higher and better spot on the wall.
“Thank you,” I breathed out as I glanced up at him and he only nodded in response as he shoved his
hands into his pockets.
A few minutes later and Ryan’s phone was vibrating, and after checking, he informed me that Ethan
was already here with Angelo.
