Alpha's Second Chance

Logan and I stepped out of the private plane along with Kyle, and we were met by the French Alpha's beta. And he bowed for us, but Logan told him to stand straight, so he did.

"Your Highness, I am Beta Thomas. Welcome to France. Alpha Louis told me to make sure you were safely transported to the pack," the Beta says.

"Thank you, Beta. This is my daughter's mate, Enzo. And this is my second Beta, Kyle."

"Welcome to you all," the Beta says again and shows us a car that is more of a limousine than just a car.

We all get inside and the car starts, and the Beta starts talking.

"The Italian Alpha, and his mate, plus grandson. All arrived a few days ago, and Alpha Louis wanted me to tell you, that the Italian Alpha has tried to bribe him." The Beta says and hands a piece of paper from the Alpha to Logan who reads it.

"So he wanted your Alpha to tell his doctor to make a false medical report, saying that the boy is Enzo's son," Logan says.

"Yes, your highness, my Alpha wanted you to know in case he succeeded in doing that in another way." The Beta says seriously, and Logan bows his head.

"Well, we always knew that it was a lie, but now we have proof. Please thank your Alpha discreetly when you have the chance. I do not want to put him or your pack in danger," Logan says.

"Yes, sir, I will. Thank you." The Beta says and bows his head.

Not long after, we drive into what obviously is the pack and stop in front of what I am guessing is the packhouse. We get out of the car, and the doors to the house open, and a big man who can only be the Alpha comes out.

"King Logan, Welcome to France and to La Meute Fantôme (the phantom pack). I have rooms ready for you all." Alpha Louis says.

"Alpha, thank you for your hospitality and your help. Your Beta has talked highly of you," Logan says as the two men shake hands.

"It is my pleasure." Alpha Louis says and then leads us inside.

He gets some wolves inside to take our bags, and Kyle follows them to where our rooms are. The Alpha shows us what looks like a conference room because the first thing I see is Alpha Carlos sitting at the table. But I was shocked when I saw the woman next to him was none other than Mia, Rose's mother.

"What the fuck are you doing here," Logan growls in a low deep, dangerous tone that makes even Rocky disappear to the furthest place in our mind. And that was even though he knew the anger was not directed at us.

"Don't speak to my mate like that. You might be a king where you come from. But here you are simply a visitor." Alpha Carlos says, and sounds more like he only says it because it's fun for him to piss off Logan.

"I am here as Carlos' mate." Mia sneers.

"What is happening?" Alpha Louis asks.

"Mia, here is my daughter's

biological mother. She rejected me and her child when my daughter was two months old simply because ske was a girl. I found my second chance mate, who is my queen, and raised my daughter as if she were her real mother." Logan explained, and Alpha Louis looked shocked.

"Maybe we should let your mate stay out of these meetings out of respect." Alpha Louis says, and Alpha Carlos just laughs.

"Alpha, it is fine. If he is happy having her as his mate, then let him. I only left my queen at home to look after my pregnant daughter," Logan says, and we see Mia look shocked for a second.

"Alright. This is my head doctor, Jean-Claude. He will take the samples," Alpha Louis says.

I nod my head and sit down. The tests are in two parts: a hair sample and a blood test. He takes the same from the boy.

"To make everything run fairly, you are allowed one person to be with Jean- Claude until the test is over." We already knew about this, and that is why Kyle is here with us.

"Good. Tests will be done tomorrow, so I suggest you get some rest before dinner later," Alpha Louis says, and we all leave the room.

"Rose is pregnant?" Mia asks me on our way out.

"Yes, and we are very excited to meet our son," I say and leave with Logan, who then spares Carlos or Mia any attention.

Kyle stands outside the room and

waits for the doctor. I follow him doctor

along with another wolf, clearly one of Carlos guys. Alpha Louis shows us what thought would be a room. But he had put us in a family suite, so there's a small common room and doors from there to several bedrooms and a bathroom. When alone, I look at Logan, who looks back and then smiles.

"Did I sell my shock?" He asks. And chuckles.noveldrama

"You did so much that Rocky pulled back." I chuckle.

"Good, let them think we didn't know about Mia. That will keep her son more safe,

and that is the least we can do after all the info he has given." Logan says and sits down.

"Yes, it is."

"I think we surprised them, though. Well, more Mia, but yes," I say, and he nods

his head.

We both agree to get a little rest before the big dinner, which I am sure will be interesting. So I go into my bedroom, find my phone, and call my sweet Mate. I spend a few hours talking with her.
