We had gone back to the house to eat dinner with my family, and we were going to tell them that we were going to stay in the suite at the castle and that I would shift tonight.

Mom had made a roast with all kinds of stuff to it, like potatoes and vegetables prepared in different ways, fresh, fried, and oven-baked. It was an amazing dinner, and tonight, it was just us, as in Mom and us kids and Enzo.

"Dad, Mom. Enzo and I have decided to stay at my place in the castle until we find

a house we like." I start and notice that they look at each other.

"What is it?" I ask them.

"Well, we were going to tell you to meet with Kate. And she will help you make a design of the house you want to have. And build it between here and the castle." Mom tells us.

"Really? You would do all that for us?" I ask, surprised.

"Of course we will. We want you all to have the life you deserve, and you are just starting a new chapter in your life," Dad says.

"Thank you, thank you. We will love that!" I say after Enzo had told me in mindlink that it is awesome.

"Will take a little time, but until then, your apartment will be fine," Mom says.

"I thought you be disappointed in us for not staying here," I admit.

"Sweetheart, of course not. You are a mated woman now. You need your privacy." Mom says and smiles.

"We have one more thing," I say, and they look at us again.

"I am going to do the shift tonight," I say, and Dad nods his head.

"That is wonderful," Mom says

"That is good, princess. When you have shifted, let her come here and say hello," he says.

"Okay, Dad. We will." I promise him, and we both smile.

During the rest of dinner, we all talked. The twins asked if I was worried about the shift, and I said a little. Mom said it would all be fine, and Dad agreed.

After Dinner, Enzo and I got our stuff from the room I had here and moved it to the castle. Then we went out in the forest, and Kaila was in my head telling me where to go. When we got to where she wanted to be, I saw we were close to the mountains and smiled.

I turn and look at Enzo, who is looking at me before he puts his arms around me.

"Just do as she tells you. She will guide you through this." He tells me and I nod my head before moving away a little.noveldrama

'Okay, Kaila. Let us do this.' I tell her.

'Yes let us do this, but I want to warn you, it is going to hurt because it is so long ago that we should have done this.' She tells me, and I understand what she

means.

'I understand, but we need to do this.' I tell her, and she agrees.

I take off my hoodie and sweatpants so that I am only dressed in my top and panties. Then I wait, blocking any sound not inside my head.

'I want you to relax and imagine yourself as a wolf. Imagine how it will feel to be a wolf. Visualize a wolf, much in the same color as your hair. Imagine your human body transforming. Feel ne in your body and in your soul.' She tells me, and I do as she says.

Minutes go by, and nothing happens, but then I feel heat spreading in my body. And then I scream when my legs feel like they are breaking. And next my arms, and then my back, all followed by the sounds of every breaking bone in my body. It hurts more than anything I have ever experienced in my life, but I knew it would not be easy.

Many more minutes pass, with every bone in my body breaking, but then something happens, and I feel all my senses get stronger. A big surge of supernatural power flows through then I see my feet. My feet are not feet anymore but paws, brown-reddish fur spreading from the paws and up my legs.

'It's over, princess. We did it.' I hear Kaila say tired.

She slowly walks to the nearby lake and looks into the water so I can see our reflection in it. Her head is the same color as the rest of her body, but she has black ears.

I turn to look at Enzo and see that he is smiling at me, admiring me in his eyes. "You are beautiful." He says. Then he undresses and shifts into rocky. Rocky growls softly and walks over to us, nuzzling his nose into Kaila's fur and she growls back softly at him. They stand like this for a long time, and then they run into the forest, playfully chasing each other.

For a long time, they run and get to know each other. Before they run back to where our clothes are, we do as promised and go to my parents' house. When we get there, they both wait outside in wolf form and Kaila and Rocky bow in respect.

When we are done, we run back to our clothes and shift back to human form. When we are back, I am exhausted from the shifting and almost fall, but Enzo catches me. He helps me get dressed, and then he carries me to our apartment, and I fall asleep in his arms.
