Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 75

We didn't find the base straight away even though we did search into the night for it. So we decided to set up camp and get a little bit of sleep.

Sara had sent us some coordinates, but they aren't much help around here. But once we got settled in the tent I looked at the compass to see which way we needed to go but for some reason the compass was just spinning constantly. I showed the guys and they didn't look too surprised.

"The witches wouldn't make this place easy to find.” Tristan said.

The wind started howling outside and the tent felt like it was going to get picked up with the it, but I climbed into my sleeping bag and I stayed there just listening to the wind howling all around us.

I'd never been camping before and I think the guys were starting to pick up on that.

Even as we were setting up our equipment, they had to tell me everything that they needed me to do.

They managed to get some food out of their bags and they gave me some so I sat up and ate it and I started looking at the map of the park while I was eating.

It all just looked like a really dense forest with nothing in there but trees and the possible bigfoot, which I only say now because I know that werewolves are real. I don't know what else out there is real. Except for witches.

I pointed to a section on the map that was a little distance away from us, but I

looked up at the guys and they looked at the map.

"What about it?" Tristan asked.

"It's here." I said.

"How do you know that?" Nathan asked, looking over my shoulder.

"I don't know. I just know. Trust me. This is where we need to go. How long will it take us?" I asked.

"We'll get a couple of hours of sleep and then head straight there. Are you absolutely sure?" Tristan asked.

"Positive. Don't ask me how I know. I just know." I said. So they trusted me on this and that's where we were going to head after getting some sleep.

We did have a fair bit of equipment and I was trying to stay as warm as possible. But it wasn't too hard with the twins on either side of me.

I only got a little sleep that night because the wind outside was driving me crazy.

The only other time I was going to go camping was when we were attacked by the witch and that didn't turn into a camping trip. That turned into a nightmare.

So I was a little skeptical about this camping trip since we were seeking out witches now.

"You need to get some sleep. We've got a big hike ahead of us when we get up." Nathan said, without opening his eyes. He just knew that I was awake.

"I know that. I'm just having trouble sleeping. I don't know what we're going to find at this base." I said.

"We'll deal with it. No matter what it is." Nathan said.

"If anything does happen, I need you guys to agree to run. We don't know what these bitches are capable of." I said.

"We know. But we're only gonna run if you run with us." Nathan said.

"Yeah. I know that." I said. So he snuggled in closer to me and I slowly dozed off to sleep.

We got a couple of hours of sleep that night and when we got up it was dark and really cold, so I made sure that I had enough clothes on for the hike ahead of us and we decided to leave the tent up. We'd come back here after we went to the base. And there would be less stuff to carry.

We didn't need to worry about bears because they are in hibernation. And other wolves, they'd smell our scent and steer clear of this area.

So we got up and started heading in the direction that I said we had to go.

I was hoping that I was right, and after a couple of hours I knew that I was.

We had hiked over the roughest terrain, with the guys helping me, and we finally got to ancient ruins.

As we walked through the once beautiful entrance, we saw an altar a few feet inside and that's where we headed to. But we saw someone walking out from behind the altar.

It was a very old woman who looked like she was on the verge of death. Wearing ratty old clothes and not looking too well at all. I didn't see her as a threat at all. Or feel any danger from this woman, so I approached her.

The twins were being a little more cautious.

"I was wondering when you would get here." She said, sitting on a stone wall around the altar.

"You were waiting for me?" I asked.

"I have been. For a long time." She said. So I walked up the steps and looked at

the altar in front of me before I turned to look at the elderly woman.

"Why? You don't look like you could hurt me." I said. And she chuckled.

“I'm not here to hurt you child. I'm here to educate you. To give you the full meaning of the curse and why it was placed on both of your packs." She said, looking like she was already getting out of breath. So I walked closer and I sat on the stone wall as well.

"I'm listening." I said.

She looked at the twins behind me and saw that they were on guard the whole time. Knowing that they weren't going to let anything surprise them. They were keeping watch, but listening at the same time. They needed to know why they had been cursed as well.

"A century ago, a witch had violated an agreement by venturing into the territory of the Heartstone Pack. She fell in love with the Heartstone Pack's Alpha and used a potion to make him reject his mate. The daughter they bore eventually

became the Luna of the Blackwood pack. However, one day the potion's effect wore off, and the witch was killed by her lover.

He then led the Heartstone pack and the Blackwood pack to annihilate the entire coven of witches in Alaska. The remaining witches, untilling to abide by the rules, sacrificed all their powers to cast a curse." She said, getting out of breath and taking her time to catch it again. I looked back at the twins and they were both paying close attention to this.

"The Alpha's of the two packs would live forever in fear and agony and even if they were lucky enough to find mates, they would struggle to have a normal lifespan." She explained.

"So, the twins and myself aren't expected to live very long." I said.

"You aren't part of the curse. The twins won't live long. Their father is nearing the

end of his life. Unless you can break the curse." She explained.

I looked at them and suddenly panic struck them as they knew that their mother was his chosen mate. Note his fated mate. He needed to make sure that the Blackwood pack would continue on, and that's the only way to do it. To choose a mate and reproduce so there would be an heir to the pack.

They looked like they were desperate for answers on how to break the curse. But

I wasn't sure this old woman was going to give us those answers. She was only informed about the curse.noveldrama
