Alpha King Chases Abandoned Luna

Chapter 380

(Third person's POV)

But Evelyn didn't think of him, but James Knight. She remembered that this

adopted pack member was not blood-related to her daughter, but he was better

than any biological sibling could have been.

"James."

"Here I am, Luna Evelyn." James Knight responded crisply.

He paused briefly as he brushed past Ethan Stone. Without any politeness, he

pulled out several high-denomination bills from his wallet and stuffed them into

Ethan's suit pocket.

"Fare."

After stuffing it, he walked cheerfully towards Evelyn and the others. The four of

them walked into the entrance door with laughter and harmony, leaving Ethan

alone in the cold night air.

He stood there, maintaining the same posture for a long time, his wolf whining

softly beneath his skin. The sound of their laughter echoed in the hallway, a stark

reminder of his isolation.

Stepping inside, Olivia Winters immediately noticed the change. She hadn't had

time to clean, so she contacted the territory management to find a cleaning

service.

It had been a while since she'd been back. Looking at the newly renovated

entrance hall and the elevator, James Knight, who had been there before, also

noticed and couldn't help but sigh.

"Did your territory management suddenly grow a conscience?"

Olivia didn't respond, but she had a feeling it was Ethan. Because Ethan knew

that after her mother was discharged from the Silvercrest Pack Medical Den,

Olivia wouldn't continue living in Lucas Blackwood's territory, and would definitely

return to Maple Grove.

An old neighborhood where the sensor lights and elevators often broke down.

While climbing stairs might be okay for young wolves, Ethan worried about

Evelyn's health.

He arranged for the best territory management to move in, renovating the

environment, common areas, and elevators. He wanted to make Evelyn as

comfortable as possible, his wolf's protective instincts extending to his mate's

mother despite their estrangement.

The elevator doors opened to reveal piles of items on both sides. Maxwell Chen

stepped forward respectfully.

"Luna Evelyn, Miss Winters, these are the necessities that Alpha King Stone

personally purchased for Luna Evelyn."

He then handed over several

territory ownership certificates.

"These territories are specially

selected by Alpha King Stone for

Luna Evelyn, and they have been

transferred to Miss Winters' name."

"Luna Evelyn and Miss Winters can move in whenever they wish."

Evelyn was touched, remembering

Ethan's silent concern for her illness.

He had arranged the best moonlight

herb specialist and healing touch.

therapist, picked her up from the

medical den, and prepared att the

necessities she needed.

He was trying to make amends. However, she didn't show it, only glancing at the

items before looking away.

"We'll accept the things," she said. "Tell your Alpha Stone not to think he can be

forgiven by Olivia and me with just these things."

"This is what he owes my daughter!"noveldrama

James took the territory certificates before Olivia could decide, and issued an

eviction order. He would take the things, but Ethan shouldn't dream of softening

Evelyn and Olivia.

Maxwell, surprised at how easily they accepted the gifts, took his leave after

James pressed the elevator button. His wolf sensed the underlying tension

despite their acceptance.

As the elevator doors closed, Olivia didn't contradict James, understanding his

feelings. He felt Ethan had hurt her during their five years together, and wanted

Ethan to pay for it all.

"Why be against resources?" James said, handing the territory certificates to

Olivia, who accepted them.

Evelyn, worried about Lucas Blackwood's reaction, explained that accepting the

gifts didn't mean forgiving Ethan. Her voice carried the weight of years of

disappointment.

Lucas reassured her, saying that the

things were Olivia's due as Ethan's

true mate, regardless of their current

estrangement. His wolf remained

calm, understanding pack politics

better than most.

Lucas Blackwood received a call from his beta, Thomas Griffin, asking whether to

send the moonlight herbs he had prepared. Noticing the already ample supply, he

declined.
