Chapter 33 I Want to Kill You
Norman’s face wore a look of greed as his eyes were filled with lust. “To tell you the truth, I was really
stunned by your beauty when I saw you at the banquet that day, Diane. I didn’t expect that there’d be
moments when you actually look beautiful. However, do you think he’d still want a loose woman like
you if he sees you sleeping with me again?” As he spoke, the smile on his face was suddenly replaced
with a ferocious expression. With a sudden pull, Norman tore Diane’s blouse open.
“You’ll die a horrible death, Norman…” Since the drug’s effects hadn’t worn off completely, the punches
Diane was throwing at the moment were as harmless as cotton. She cried and shouted at the top of her
voice, but such cries didn’t work on Norman at all. Instead, he became
“Why would I die a horrible death? I’m fine. I’ll be leaving after a while, and I don’t believe that
Christopher will find this place so soon. Since all those offices that should be closed by now are closed,
he will have to wait until tomorrow even if he’s a powerful figure. Haha… This is what Christopher is,
Diane. He would’ve been a f*cking nobody if he hadn’t been born into a wealthy and distinguished
family like the Waynes.” Norman spoke with growing confidence and smugness, for he thought that his
plan was flawless with no loopholes whatsoever. As he finished his sentence, his lecherous gaze fell on
Diane’s fair-skinned body. “Diane… Your body is so seductive…” he whispered as his eyes shone with
greed. Then, he lowered his head and kissed her.
“Ah… No…” Diane cried out at the top of her voice as she sobbed uncontrollably.
All of a sudden, a stern voice thundered, “Norman!”
Norman was startled for a moment. Before he could come to his senses completely, someone moved
to his side in a flash and gave him a fierce kick.
“Aaaah…” Norman was sent flying a few meters away with a loud cry.
After kicking Norman away, Christopher’s heart jumped the moment he saw Diane on the ground. He Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
immediately took off his suit jacket, crouched down, and wrapped his jacket tightly around her body.
“I’m here, so don’t be afraid.”
He was stunned when these words came out of his mouth. God only knew how angry he was and how
unwilling he was to care about this woman’s fate. However, when he saw her looking at him timidly with
her eyes teary and her clothes disheveled, the anger within him vanished without a trace. Right now, he
just wanted to take her back and get her out of this hellhole. “Diane,” he called while staring fixedly at
the woman. Then, he scooped her up in his arms.
“Christopher.” Diane’s voice quavered as she stared at Christopher. Suddenly, she reached out and
wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. While she pressed her face against his neck, she shrieked
repeatedly, “Christopher, Christopher…”
Her tearful voice made Christopher terribly upset; her soft voice caressed his heart like a gentle breeze,
causing many indescribable emotions to surge within him. “All right, it’s okay now,” he comforted her in
a whisper while holding her close.
Meanwhile, Scott had caught Norman and marched him over with their people. “How should we deal
with this *sshole, Mr. Wayne?”
Christopher raised his eyes and looked icily at Norman. However, just as he was about to speak, the
woman in his arms suddenly gave a wriggle.
“Put me down,” Diane said.
Startled by this, Christopher looked at her and saw the look of determination on her face. I’m by her
side, so she won’t be in danger anymore, he thought to himself. With that, he relaxed his hold on the
woman and slowly put her down.
Diane turned her face and glared at Norman while wrapping Christopher’s jacket tightly around her
upper body. Without saying a word, she suddenly turned to the side, walked over, and picked
something up from the ground.
Surprisingly, the pitch-black thing was an iron bar with a sharp end.
Norman’s face turned pale with fright as Diane held the iron bar in her hand. Since Scott was forcing
him to his knees, he couldn’t flee at all. Therefore, he could only back away as much as possible while
he begged non-stop and said, “Diane! D-Don’t do anything reckless, Diane! I-It’s just a
misunderstanding. Please let me off, Diane! Please spare my life since we were once husband and
wife!”
Norman was now overwhelmed with regret, and he really hated himself for underestimating
Christopher. Had he known long ago that Christopher could act so quickly, he would have run away
after leaving Diane here instead of being too cocky and staying here for a while. However, it was
useless to say anything right now; he could only beg Diane if he wanted to stay alive. He could tell that
this woman had a big influence over Christopher, so he would probably be fine as long as Diane gave
the word. “Just think about it, Diane—I’m your first love, and we’ve known each other since our
schooling days. After dating for so many years, I’m pretty sure you still have feelings for me, don’t
you?”
He looked at Diane eagerly, but her face was expressionless as she merely fixed her eyes on him. As
big drops of tears rolled down her face, she pressed her lips into a thin line and clutched the iron bar in
her hand tightly.
“Diane…” Norman called, still unwilling to give up.
Diane walked up to him and stopped. “What you said is right. Not only did we date for many years, we
even got married as husband and wife. However, do you know what I want to do right now, Norman?”
Norman was frightened by the calmness of Diane’s voice, yet he forced a bit of a smile and asked,
“What do you want to do?”
“I want to kill you,” Diane replied without a pause.
Norman’s face froze for a moment. “Diane, I know that you hate me, but isn’t there a saying whereby a
day together as husband and wife fosters enduring affection? You’re not going to be so cruel, right?”
“A day together as husband and wife fosters enduring affection?” Diane’s lips curled up slightly before
she laughed at herself. “Yeah, a day together as husband and wife fosters enduring affection. How did
you treat me, though?” Her voice grew softer and softer until it was reduced to a whisper. “How did you
treat me?”
The tears in her eyes were gone. Then, as she stared at Norman, she suddenly raised the iron bar in
her hand and stabbed him fiercely in the heart.
“Aaaah…” Norman screamed.
Christopher frowned behind Diane before he made a big stride forward and stood beside her.
The iron bar had been stabbed into Norman’s body, but no one could tell how deeply it had penetrated
him. While she held the other end of the iron bar, Diane stood there and stared wide-eyed at Norman
as if she was in a daze; she watched as the blood flowed out of his body.
“What a venomous woman you are, Diane…” Norman shouted in a distorted voice as his body slumped
to the ground.
Diane was still unresponsive, though. She stood frozen right there while she continued to hold the iron
bar that she had stabbed Norman in the heart with.
Meanwhile, the furrows in Christopher’s brow deepened as he looked at her. “Let go of it,” he urged,
but Diane didn’t say a word or even look at him. For a long time, this woman was totally unresponsive,
and it felt like she had suddenly turned into a stake.
“That’s enough. Let’s go back,” Christopher urged again. He reached up and clutched Diane’s hand,
trying to move her hand away from that rusty iron bar.
Her hand had unexpectedly gone stiff, so he didn’t manage to pull her hand away from the iron bar with
a pull. As a result, he could only pry her fingers off the iron bar with a frown.
Just as he pried the last finger off, Diane closed her eyes and fell backward limply.
“Diane!” Christopher cried out in alarm. Then, he raised his arms and held her tightly in his arms.
