I know that an Alpha has to report any couple that has marked one another, but I also know that there is no obligation to report a connection.

Our Alphas did report to the Elders that they had marked Delaney as their Mate and that a date would be set for her Luna Ceremony. I was there when they handed it to one of my team members to hand deliver it to the Elders and there is footage from the delivery, so why weren't other Alphas, cities and towns informed?

I watch as the first Alpha walks in to negotiate an alliance, but the moment a young female follows behind him I hear Fortune growl.noveldrama

"If she is a part of your alliance, I suggest you leave." Dominic says and I see the Alpha looking at Dominic as if he lost his mind. "We have a Mate and so do the other males in our leadership."

This ritual happens three more times, before we get another problem to deal with.

"Alphas, it is good to see you again." Alpha Bradley says, as he walks into the meeting room. "Maleah, I didn't expect to see you here. Are you here to find a chosen Mate?" His words cause my Mates to growl and I am glad I am sitting on Mack's lap.

"No, I am here to help my Alphas. That is my job as the Beta and Gamma female." I respond and I see something flash through his eyes, but I can't tell what it is.

He sits down on the chair on the other side of the table and his Beta and Gamma join us. "There are quite a few Wolves outside this meeting room, three in the hallway and four outside the window." I say through the mind-link and my Mates move a little closer to me.

At that same moment, a Servant walks in with coffee but it isn't the Servant that was assigned to us. "I figured you could all use some coffee by now and I promise I won't keep you long." Alpha Bradley says, but I warn the others not to drink it.

"Thank you, Alpha Bradley. That is very thoughtful of you, but completely unnecessary. We have had enough coffee for the day and as you can see we all have a bottle of water." Delaney says and she pushes the cup in front of her back towards the Servant.

"Maleah, I found her. She is unconscious and so is the Head Servant." One of my team members reports through the mind-link. I knew we couldn't trust Alpha Bradley and I believe it is safe to say that he put something in the coffee.

Alpha Bradley looks at the coffee in front of us and I can hear his heart beat become erratic, there is something wrong with the coffee. "You can take it with you." He says to the Servant, but I want to know what is in there and I pull the cup in front of me closer.

I lower my head to the cup, making sure I don't touch any of the liquid and I am so damn glad I can recognize almost every poison by it's smell. There is Olmepenem in the coffee, the scent of the Viscid Portia hits my nostrils and I understand why he used coffee. Too bad, I am better in poisons and potions than Alpha Bradley is.

"Alphas, I think you might want to warn our Warriors. Alpha Bradley has poisoned the coffee with Olmepenem, his Warriors in the hallway and outside were probably meant to kill us." I say, my eyes locked with those of Alpha Bradley.

We all know why he tried to poison us, but I doubt he told anyone the truth. At least his Beta and Gamma were aware of what his so-called plan was, but I am not so sure about his Warriors.

"Alphas, why are you listening to this female? My Alpha was just kind enough to bring refreshments and now she is accusing him of a crime." His Beta says and I have a smirk on my face, as I move the cup in front of me towards him.

"Then I suggest you take a sip." I state and I know he will never touch that cup, if he knows what is in that coffee.

The Servant looks a bit

uncomfortable, but I doubt she has any idea about what is going on here. Alpha Bradley keeps ordering her to get the coffee out of here, but she seems to be too stunned to respond and before he can grab every cup away himself the door opens.

"What is going on in here?" Elder Carlyle asks and despite the fact that I hate his guts, I know he can smell almost every scent.

"Would you mind taking a sniff of the coffee, Elder Carlyle?" I ask him and the moment he is close enough, he inhales the fumes and damp that comes from the coffee.

"Olmepenem." He says and he looks at the Servant. She quickly explains that Alpha Bradley had asked her to make some coffee and to follow him to this meeting room.

We find out that the Gamma held the tray with coffee, while the Servant carried the tray with some snacks and Elder Carlyle starts to sniff that as well but can't find anything wrong with it.

After everyone has left our room and

the coffee has been taken away, I turn to my Alphas. "We all know that he didn't come here to kill any of us, but I am convinced that it is the story he gave his men. I am glad there were more Elder present than just Elder Carlyle or he might have been released before this day is over.

We continue with the other meetings on our list and by the time we need to get ready for dinner, I am on the verge of killing someone. Except for our meeting with Alpha Bradley, every other meeting was intended to be a mating and not just for our Alphas.

I spot Elder Carlyle near the stairs, when we walk out of the meeting room and I walk straight up to him. "Elder Carlyle, why wasn't anyone informed of the fact that the entire leadership of Blood Crescent Pack is marked and mated?" I ask him.

He looks at me, before he says, "We didn't receive a notice of any new marked couples." He responds and I grab my phone to push a few buttons, let's see how he will talk himself out of this one.

Every phone around us starts buzzing and in a few seconds an Elder walks up to us, he doesn't look too pleased with what he saw.

"Carlyle, where is the notice vol.ne

received from Blood Crescent Pack? And don't tell me you didn't get it, because this proves that you did." He says as he holds up his phone.

Elder Carlyle is looking at the footage of him receiving the notice and anyone can hear the messenger say that it is the notice from Blood Crescent Pack on the entire leadership being marked and mated.
