A Gamma's Revenge (Zalia)

Chapter 396

Mack's p.o.v.

I am in a meeting with our leadership when the guard at the gate links me, "Maleah just drove across the border, she barely got out of her car when she shifted and she took off into the forest." I turn towards my Father and ask him if it is normal for a female to shift as fast as Maleah did, but he doesn't seem to understand what I am talking about.

I explain what the guard told me and I hear Dad mutter the word Fuck and when he does that it means trouble.

"Make sure the Warriors keep an eye out for her, but they are not to approach her. If anyone shifts like that it means their Wolf or Lycan is beyond pissed and approaching her could cause severe injuries." Dad says before he walks out of the office and my best guess is that he is going to pay Diego a visit.

Every Pack-member arrived home yesterday, a tradition we have had for centuries and it has everything to do with the Spring Ball. We want to know who has found his or her Mate and if they haven't they get a change to attend the Spring Ball.

So far, we only have two males and one female that want to attend the Spring Ball and Ariel is helping them with their outfits. Maleah was the only one that wasn't within our borders, but we knew where she was and Dax knew she wouldn't be attending the Ball because she had told him herself.

"Mack, can you go to the gate and get Maleah's car? Diego doubts she will return there after her run and I have to agree with him." I hear Dad ask in my head and after I have explained it to Dominic he tells me to take care of it.

After I step into Maleah's car I see that she has an incoming call and Commander growls loudly in my head when we see her Mother's name flash across the screen, luckily her phone is on silent so it doesn't bother me much.

I tell Diego about the three calls she received while I drove her car from the gate

to their house and he tells me it is best we ignore the calls, "She will probably think that Maleah is in a meeting, if one of us answers she will know where Maleah is and I doubt my Daughter wants her Mother to know that she is home." Diego says and Dad and I both agree with him.

After I have driven Maleah's car to her house I walk back to the Pack-house and I wonder what could have pissed off Maleah or Fortune, she doesn't seem like the type to get pissed off at someone but then again I don't know her that well.

Hell, there is a lot I don't know about the female that has been haunting my dreams. Kay was the one to bring up the subject the other day, he couldn't remember if he ever saw her and for the life of me neither can I.

Dax pointed out that we probably didn't notice her because we were too busy finding our Mates within the Pack, we had been nineteen when Alpha Max found out what her Mother had done to her and a year later we left the Pack to receive our training to take over from our Fathers.

We are her senior by eleven years and that explains why we never paid her any attention if we ever saw her that is, Commander is still searching our memories to see if we ever noticed her.

"What is on your mind?" Dax asks the moment I walk into the office and I ask what he is talking about, "I have been walking next to you for at least ten minutes and you didn't notice me." He answers and I look at him to see if he is trying to pull my chains, but he is being honest with me.

"Her Mother called three times while I was in her car and when I handed the phone to Diego we saw that she has been calling non-stop, she also left a bunch of messages for Maleah." I answer him.

"Do you think something might have happened in Albarr?" I ask Dax.

"I doubt Alpha Bradley would be stupid enough to try something, he knows I don't trust him anywhere near Malaya and for that reason doubt he was responsible for whatever caused her to be so angry." He answers me and for a moment we just sit there trying to figure out what could have caused her to become so angry that she barely had time to get out of her car

before shifting into her Lycan.

Commander doesn't like the fact that something pissed off Fortune that much, several Warriors have mind-linked me so far and each of them tells me that Fortune is still running around the territory, growling at every male she sees and it doesn't matter how far away they are.

Dad walks into the office with Diego right behind him and the look on Diego's face tells me that he has never seen or heard about Maleah being this angry but then again he always thought she was Wolfless.

A Wolfless male or female can still become angry, but it will never be as bad if that happens with a Wolf or a ora Lycan. I saw it happen during my years of training with the Council of Elders and even though a pissed off Wolfless male is no match for a pissed off Wolf or Lycan, it was still an amazing sight to see because he turned out to be a lot stronger than anyone had suspected.

"Does anyone have an idea as to why Maleah is so damn pissed off?" Diego asks,

but none of us can give him a satisfying answers.

"Rogues on our eastern border." I hear one of our Warriors yell through our mind- link and we all jump up as one to rush out of the office. "Mack, Maleah is nearby and she doesn't respond to the mind-link." I hear another Warrior say through our mind-link.noveldrama

Of course she wouldn't be able to

hear our mind-link, if she never shifted into her Lycan in front of the Pack I doubt anyone thought about initiating her into the Pack.

Commander forces the shift as soon

as we have cleared the Pack-house and he is demanding a moment to moment update on where the Rogues are and where Maleah is, he hates the thought of her getting into trouble.

Commander is a fast Lycan but the way he is going right now is faster than I have ever seen him go before and everything around us is a bit of a blur. What we hear next almost makes Commander trip over his own legs.

"Mack, Maleah is turning towards the Rogues and by the looks of it I can tell that she is scaring the shit out of them but they refuse to back down." Another Warrior yells through the mind-link and I hear a few mighty roars behind me.

A part of me is hoping that she will put those idiots back in their place, but an even bigger part of me just wants her to back off and leave it to those that are more capable of fighting a Rogue.

"I doubt she will do what you're hoping for." Commander growls in my head and for some reason I get this feeling that he is right, she's probably capable of a lot more than we ever held possible.

I have always watched in awe if Diego was running around the training grounds and right now I am even more impressed because he can keep up with Commander, which isn't an easy task. Our Alphas are right behind us and even though they are Alpha Lycans they have trouble keeping up with me and Diego.

Something tells me that Diego and I will have reached Maleah before the rest of our leadership will be there.
