Divorce 205
"No need, just don't bother me again," Chuck said.
"Alright, alright," the manager quickly backed down.
Lucy sat back in her seat and grabbed a bottle, taking a long drink.
Chuck, s*ed the bottle away, "What do you think you're doing?"
"Don't worry about me, it's all my fault." Lucy was still deep in self-blame. She was scared about what just happened, and a few minutes later she felt dizzy and wanted to drink. In her tipsy state, Lucy's cheeks were flushed, her eyes glazed as she gazed at the bottle, trying to grab it b it back from Chuck. Chuck raised the bottle
Leave me alone!" shegh, looking at the table in front of him where all the empty bottles lay, slightly dazed. "You've already drunk so much? You can't have any more."
pushed Chuck away and told the passing waiter, "Bring me two more bottles!"
Chuck followed closely and said, "She's just talking nonsense; don't bring it."
Lucy's head was spinning, and the bit of clarity she had regained was lost again due to the blaring music.
"It's okay, Lucy, Ms. Sanchez won't blame you," Chuck comforted her.
"It's all my fault! Why did I take her to find that bad person?" Lucy cried as she picked up another bottle to drink.
Chuck sn**ed the bottle away again. "Do you really need to drink? I'll join you!" He lifted the bottle and drank half of it in one go, then set it down with a burp. Lucy took the bottle from him and drank the rest in one gulp. Chuck stopped the bartender and ordered two more bottles of alcohol. He cracked one open and took a swig, "I'm gonna get drunk!" His cheeks were flushed, and his mind was getting a little foggy. "Lucy, you idiot!" "Chuck, you jerk, why'd you steal my drink!
Half an hour later, the two of them stumbled out of the Morning Light bar, with no clear indication who was more drunk. Chuck supported Lucy, and it was one of Chuck's friends who ended up taking them both to Chuck's place. There was only one bedroom at his place, and when his friend laid Lucy down on the bed and tried to take Chuck with him, Lucy grabbed his hand, refusing to let him go. Helpless, the friend had to leave.
With Chuck's arm being held, the air was filled with the smell of alcohol, and right next to him was Lucy's face. He looked at her delicate features and suddenly felt a pang of excitement. The heat from the alcohol made him forget who she was or who he was. He leaned in and kissed Lucy, who enthusiastically responded, wrapping herself around him.
The next morning, when Lucy opened her eyes, Chuck's face was right in front of hers. She widened her eyes in disbelief; how did she end up in the same bed as Chuck? She flung off the covers, shock consuming her as she realized she was wearing nothing. The most frightening thing was the faint red marks on her body.
Her face was full of panic. She'd never been hungover before, and her first time ended up with an unexpected fling? With Chuck, the one she despised the most! She immediately covered her mouth, not remembering anything about the previous night. The only thing she could recall was someone trying to harm her, and it was Chuck who saved her.
Carefully, she sat up from the bed. Her clothes were sc**ed all over the floor. She gathered them up quietly and slipped into the bathroom, dressed quickly, and left. As the sun rose, its blinding rays made Chuck's eyes hurt. Sitting up from the bed, he felt a pounding headache and couldn't recall anything from the previous day. Yet, there was this strange fragrance lingering in the sheets. He tossed aside the Chapter 205
blanket, and a bra fell out a woman's bra. He stared at it for a moment before suddenly remembering that Lucy had come back with him yesterday.
So, did they...? Chuck pinched his brow; he was stark naked. The more frantically he tried to recall, the clearer Lucy's image became in his mind. He stood up and began tidying the bed but noticed a bloodstain on the sheets. Was this...? Chuck's fingers trembled. Was this Lucy's virgin mark? Did she really...?
The day after Yasmine woke up, Lucy finally mustered the courage to visit her with a thermal lunch box in hand. As she walked towards the hospital room, her mind was elsewhere, still mulling over what happened last night. How did a simple desire for a drink lead to ending up in bed with Chuck? Lucy's face was flushed, and even thinking about it now made her feel shy. Though she would often nag Yasmine to introduce her to handsome guys, she had never really interacted with one before. This was her first significant interaction with a man. the hospital room and saw Yasmine, her eyes started to swell with tears, leaving her no room to think about anything else. "Yasmine..." she could hardly face Yasmine after nearly ruining her life. "Lucy, come over

Tears fell from the corner of Lucy's eyes, "Yasmine, it's all my fault. The more you act like this, the guiltier I feel. If it wasn't for my idea to take you over to treat him, none of this would have happened." After getting home yesterday, she had been scared for a long time. If anything had really happened to Yasmine, she might have considered ending her own life.
"It's okay, Lucy. It was done on purpose by someone else, not your fault. Even if you hadn't taken me, it would have happened another time," said Yasmine. Those who want to harm you always find a way. "Yasmine, stop saying things like that. It just makes me want to cry more," Lucy said, her eyes welling up with tears. Even the factory mess was resolved with Yasmine's cousin's help, and yet she almost put Yasmine in danger. "I'm so sorry, I nearly got you hurt... and yet your cousin still still helped I me," Lucy said, touched I by the kindness.
Yasmine smiled softly and shook her head, "Lucy, don't forget that when I was in trouble before, you were the one who helped me, and Donovan has always been good to me."
Yasmine would never forget that Thanksgiving day when she didn't eat and was staring at the moon in the backyard, it was Donovan who first noticed and brought the whole family to keep her company. While such companionship seemed like a small gesture, it was a tremendous comfort to Yasmine when her heart was full of f scars.
"Alright, Lucy, I really don't blame you," Yasmine said with a gentle smile.
Lucy wiped her tears and handed over a thermos, "Then have this." "Okay," Yasmine replied.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

Ever since Yvette got pregnant, Selena treated her even better. She would tell everyone that her daughter-in-law was pregnant, and even bought clothes especially for her. "Yvette, these clothes are for you. Once your belly gets bigger, you won't be able to wear your old clothes, so wear these," Selena said with a satisfied smile, staring at Yvette's belly in a daze.
As soon as Xavier walked into the house, Selena instructed him, Xavier, Yvette is pregnant now, you have to take good care of her." She paused and continued, "About Helen's matter..."
