Hello, Mr. Brent

Chapter 303

Chapter 303

"Are you driving me out?" Mrs Williams raised her eyebrows.

Daniel's face clouded over and he immediately shook his head, "Of course not. I know you're on a

mission this time, mother. However, as you can see, I already fell for someone and we've got a baby.

Thus, I regret that I cannot comply with your wishes."

Mrs Williams snorted coldly, "Since you know why I'm here, how do I know if Miss Brent really is your

wife? Daniel, don't forget that you are my son. You're using the same tactics I used. If this is true, I

won't force you anymore. If it's not, then I have no choice but to let your uncles talk to you."

Daniel's face clouded over. It took him a while to stand up and say, "Of course it's true. Mother, if you

don't believe me, you can stay here and see."

After that, he turned around and went upstairs.

Mrs Williams sighed, knowing that her failed marriage had completely destroyed her son's confidence

in the marriage. Nonetheless, there was nothing she could do. She couldn't just watch him live alone

for the rest of his life!

Franklin took Emily away, got in the car and said to Jason, "Go back to Lancaster immediately."

Emily said in surprise, "Are we going back now? Didn't Daniel ask us to act with him? We can't leave

without a word..."

"Silly, don't you understand? Daniel isn't trying to help you. I think he has an axe to grind." Franklin

snorted.

Emily frowned, "What's his purpose? What good is it for him to do so? He just doesn't want Mrs

Williams to know about me, so..."

"Mom, that grandma just told dad to deal with you." Bryce looked up and said to Emily seriously.

Emily twitched her lips and asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"

Bryce thought for a while and said, "It should be that grandma doesn't like mom, so she doesn't want

dad to be with mom."

Bryce still called Daniel father, and he couldn't correct himself for a moment.

However, Bryce's address to Daniel made Franklin very dissatisfied. He immediately said to Bryce

kindly, "Baby, he's not your dad. I'm your dad."

Bryce looked at Franklin in surprise and stared at him for a while. Then Bryce looked at Emily and

asked with the grievance, "Mom, how many fathers do I have?"

Emily smiled awkwardly. She pinched his little cheek and said, "Of course, you only have one father.

Bryce, this is your father, your biological father."

Bryce looked at Franklin, then pouted and said, "But why do I think I don't look like him?! I look more

like my previous dad."

"Well..." Emily didn't know how to explain it to him. After all, he was only three years old. A three-year-

old child could not understand such a complicated relationship.

"It's okay. Take your time." Franklin was very magnanimous. He reached out to hold Bryce from Emily's

arms into his own.

With Emily around, Bryce was not averse to Franklin's embrace and lay obediently in his arms. It

seemed that Bryce was so sleepy that he tilted his little head, leaned his little face against Franklin's

chest, and rubbed against it coquettishly.

This was the most common posture for a child, but it was amazing to Franklin.

He looked at the little cute baby in his arms and could not believe that this was his son.

He could not help but sigh in his heart that he had missed too much of the child's upbringing, and those

experiences could never be repeated.

"He must have been cuter when he was a baby!" Franklin could not help but say so when he saw Bryce

close his eyes with his long eyelashes trembling.

Emily immediately nodded and said, "Of course, he was very cute. He started teething when he was

only six months old, and he also began to babble very early..."

When Franklin mentioned Bryce's babyhood, Emily couldn't stop praising Bryce.

Franklin was interested in this matter. One of them held the baby, while the other kept talking for more

than half an hour.

"Mr. Brent, the road ahead is under repair. We might have to take a detour." The car stopped and

Jason reported to Franklin.

Franklin said, "Then take a detour! Let two people go back to pack up. We'll go straight back to

Lancaster."

"Do we really not tell Daniel?" Emily asked worriedly.

Franklin had no good impression on Daniel, so he snorted, "There's no need to tell him. He can solve

his problems on his own. We don't have to worry about him."

"Then I have to tell my mother and meet her!" Emily was a little worried when she thought of her

mother.

Franklin couldn't refuse her request. After thinking for a while, he said, "Let's go to your mother's house

now and take her with us! Since Daniel is in Irvine, your mother shouldn't stay here anymore." Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

That was what Emily meant. If her mother met Mrs Williams one day, there would be a fight.

Thus, they immediately asked Jason to drive the car to Abigail's house. She wanted to take a look.

When they got to the place, Emily asked Franklin to wait for her in the car. Bryce fell asleep in

Franklin's arms, so Franklin couldn't go with her. Therefore, she got out of the car by herself.

However, Franklin was worried about her, so he asked a bodyguard to go with her.

He thought that Emily would talk to Abigail for a while and pack her suitcase.

Unexpectedly, Emily ran down the stairs after a while and said to Franklin anxiously, "Something's

wrong. My mother is missing."

Franklin frowned.

Emily said anxiously, "Did the Williams take her away? Did Mrs Williams already know she was here?"

Franklin immediately said, "Don't worry. We just came out of the Williams. The Williams won't be here

so soon. Maybe she's out to buy food. We can wait for her at home first. Did you call her? Call her and

see if you can get through."

Emily was so anxious that she was about to cry. She was sobbing, "I've called her, but no one

answered. Besides, it seems that no one has lived in the house for a day or two. A lot of her things are

gone, including her clothes."

"Is everything in the room messy or tidy?" Franklin asked again.

Emily thought for a moment and said, "It's very neat, but her clothes and some personal belongings are

missing."

"Then she shouldn't have been taken away by the Williams. Otherwise, the room wouldn't have been

so neat and clean. Maybe she left by herself. Maybe... she left as soon as we left that day because she

was afraid that the Williams would find her," Franklin analyzed.

Emily thought that his analysis made sense, so she was relieved. At least, her mother was not found by

the Williams, nor was she taken away by the Williams.

But soon she was worried and said, "She just left without telling me. I don't know where she went.

Where should we find her? We can't just leave her out there like this."

After all, her mother was quite old, so Emily was worried about her mother's safety.
